DJ Rae Bae
The birth of DJ Bobby Laredo started in 1996. I was working for a radio station in West Palm Beach, FL selling advertising for WFXG. My cousin, David, had to store all his DJ equipment and music at my house and showed me how to mix and blend music. We started to do weddings, Bar Mitzvahs and house parties. DJ Bobby Laredo, was named after a pair of Laredo cowboy boots.
The owner of Rhinestone’s said I did a “good job”- paid me sixty dollars! And said I will see you tomorrow night! Over the years, I DJ'd all over the state of Florida at all of the big western-themed clubs: Rhinestones, Jokers Wild, Davie Junction, Country Nights, Rocking Horse Saloon, Uncle Micks Bar, Borderline, The Long Branch Saloon, Stillwater’s, Papa’s Honkytonk Bourbon Street Station, Crazy Horse Saloon, North Star Substation, Maverick’s, Rocking Honkytonk, River City Brewing, Crazy Horse, Cowboys, Rawhide, The Depot, White Buffalo Saloon, Knocking Boots Saloon, The Barn and Vivid Music Hall.
I would like to thank My wife Linda, who has stuck by me through thick and thin to sadness and happiness, she has been there with me in every up and every down, believes in me, and I am so grateful to have her… I would like to thank my mom who is my biggest fan whether I am playing in a room full of barstools or a packed house full of people asses to elbows, she likes to hear my stories at 84 years old I am incredibly lucky to have her alive to do so.
